Biography
Kathleen McCoy was born in Memphis, Tennessee and was raised in Atlanta, GA. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Studio Art from Georgia State University. She now paints and instructs art in Cumming, GA.
Kathleen, a dedicated artist who believes that talent must find expression in this beautiful life. Specializing in large-scale, realistic works that reflect a profound observation of nature, particularly animals, each painting becomes a narrative of its own. The process starts with inspiration and careful planning, allowing the artist to frame a story that unfolds on the canvas.
Primarily working in oils, she revels in the ability to build upon multiple layers of paint, each one adding depth and life to her artwork.
